Gold only. Nothing here is bought or sold for real money. Slayer items are paid with a Slayer's gold and Vampire items with a Vampire's gold. Putting an item on sale costs 2 reward points; 5% of the price is taken as a fee when it sells. A listing lasts 14 days, then the item comes back to your web warehouse. Everything here works only while your account is logged out of the game.
How selling works
In the game, put the item in your character's stash and log out. Here it shows with a Sell button: set a price in gold, and 2 reward points are taken. The item moves out of the stash into the market's keeping, so nobody can sell it twice. When someone buys it, their gold comes to you less the 5% fee: collect it on the Market page to a character of that race. If nobody buys in 14 days, or you take it back, the item goes to your web warehouse. Store puts an item in the web warehouse for 1 point; bringing it back to a stash is free.
